21 For me, to live is Christ and to die is gain.
27 Just one thing: As citizens of heaven, live your life worthy of the gospel of Christ. Then, whether I come and see you or am absent, I will hear about you that you are standing firm in one spirit, in one accord, contending together for the faith of the gospel, 28 not being frightened in any way by your opponents. This is a sign of destruction for them, but of your salvation—and this is from God.
1 If, then, there is any encouragement in Christ, if any consolation of love, if any fellowship with the Spirit, if any affection and mercy, 2 make my joy complete by thinking the same way, having the same love, united in spirit, intent on one purpose. 3 Do nothing out of selfish ambition or conceit, but in humility consider others as more important than yourselves. 4 Everyone should look not to his own interests, but rather to the interests of others.

One of the greatest things in our lives is to find the people who REALLY UNDERSTAND us, and LOVE US STILL…
With these people, you can have different ways of looking at things…have different perspectives, but still HAVE THE SAME MIND between you!
They “just get you” or you “just get them”…

God is moving and HAS been moving at Oikos Church
We have multiplied, due to HIs abundant blessings!
We will continue to grow as Jesus is the One who builds His Church!
As we grow (Gospel Roots as well as numbers), God will continue to move among us:
IF we seek Him and His Presence in all HUMILITY
If we don’t have His Presence among our locations, WE HAVE NOTHING!
IF we love Him with all our heart, mind, soul, and strength, and;
IF we continue to love our neighbors as ourselves.

To be LOVED BY THE MOST HIGH GOD

IF Jesus has truly changed your life from a life of rebellion and sin…BELIEVE THAT WITH YOUR WHOLE HEART!!
Live a life that REFLECTS that you have been RESCUED and that you LOVE HIM WITH EVERYTHING YOU HAVE
THIS should be the culture of Oikos Church NOW, and in the years to come!!

“Encouragement” = The SOURCE of consolation
Who better to have as the Source of our encouragement/consolation?
It does NOT get any HIGHER!
Consolation of Love
“Consolation” = The COMFORT of the consolation
OH what a comfort…when Jesus wraps His loving arms around us…
There is no other feeling than for Jesus to offer His comfort.
He has FELT IT ALL…
HE KNOWS and HE CARES
When you have no words to speak
HE KNOWS and HE CARES
When you only have tears…
HE KNOWS and HE CARES
8 You yourself have recorded my wanderings.

Are they not in your book?
JESUS CARES ABOUT YOU SO MUCH…HOW MUCH DO YOU CARE ABOUT HIM??
Fellowship with the Spirit

Affection and Mercy
Affection = deeply felt compassion
Mercy = a deep awareness of and sympathy of another’s suffering

Thinking the same way
Process things through the same lens of:
God’s Word
God’s Wisdom
God’s leading by Holy Spirit
If Holy Spirit is TRULY speaking, He will always have each person in ONE ACCORD
Having your minds SET ON THE SAME THINGS

Agape
Have the same love that has been poured into your own dead heart OUT to everyone around you, ESPECIALLY to the Household of Faith
10 Therefore, as we have opportunity, let us work for the good of all, especially for those who belong to the household of faith.

Carrying ourselves the way Jesus carries Himself

If you don’t have affections for Jesus, you may not be born again
How can a person be numb to someone who has rescued them in the most tragic ending…
Unless you have never been rescued from sin and death
Or you just don’t care

Mind is SET on the Great Commission

WE NEED JESUS!!!
if we do NOT have Jesus among our gatherings, we are wasting our time.
No matter how many Oikos Church becomes, we MUST have Jesus in our midst, or it is for nothing.
This culture MUST go out to every location Jesus sees fit for us to spread out to in multiplication!!
WE HAVE TO BE THE FAMILY WITH THE SAME MIND
different perspectives? YES!!
Same mind set on Jesus and what He has called OC to do? YES!!
to ANY and EVERY place He sovereignly ordains for us to be!!
Oikos Church:

FEARLESSLY LOVING OTHERS

Humility will NOT ALLOW you to be:
SELF-CENTERED
SELF-FOCUSED
CONSUMED WITH SELF
OBSESSED WITH SELF
4 Everyone should look not to his own interests, but rather to the interests of others.
TRUE LOVE and HUMILITY will NOT allow for you to think of YOURSELF FIRST
PRIDE will have you thinking of YOURSELF and YOURSELF ONLY
As if you are the ONLY PERSON in the entire UNIVERSE
As the famous poet Tupac once said…ALL EYEZ ON ME
I hate to break it to you all…everyone’s eyes are NOT on you.
They are NOT on what you believe you are doing at OC
They are NOT on what you THINK you are ACHIEVING to IMPRESS
JESUS’ EYES are on YOU, and yours BEST be looking back at His
THAT is the only thing that will keep us from sinking in this life

as we minister to the portion of the Harvest Fields He has entrusted us with?
If someone could do an evaluation of what your mind is SET on, what would their answer be for you??
Is your heart and mind set on Jesus and what He has asked us to do in His Word by the gospel as a Church Family?
Imagine with me…what would OC look like if every single member was consumed with passion for loving Jesus, knowing Jesus, talking with Jesus, hearing from Jesus??
What would OC TR look like?
What would OC Greer look like?
What would be accomplished in the world with OC as a WHOLE?
